Hi. My name is Philomena Donnelly (Phil for short). I am an artist and self-taught sculptor from Ireland. Although I am originally from Cork City, I have been living in Northern Ireland for the past ten years. My husband and I met each other whilst working in Germany. We have three beautiful children who inspire us every single day.
Upon returning to Ireland I decided to take some evening art classes, portraiture being my favourite. I recently finished a foundation course in art and design. A few years ago I stumbled upon clay babies on the Internet. I was amazed. I knew this was something I would like to try but where to start?? I had never sculpted any thing before apart from making dough craft teddies with my children. However I was captivated by the clay babies and began looking at how I could sculpt these one of a kind (ooak)babies. I eventually bought some clay and began to sculpt my first clay baby. It was only a tiny 3 inch baby nothing great but I was encouraged enough to try again. Each sculpt has been and still is a learning process. My aim is to create realistic looking babies that have life and soul in them that can be enjoyed for generations to come.
My babies range in size from 2.5 inches right up to 22 inch lifesize babies. I am now also producing some of my babies as Limited doll kits for the ever expanding reborn market. I also enjoy the challenge of sculpting portrait babies and creating a likeness that people will love. Capturing forever an expression that will continue to amaze us with its sweet innocence.

Some of my earlier babies mini babies have been featured in the U.K magazine “Discover Dolls” in March/April 2006 plus showcased in various other editions of the magazine.
I am grateful for the wonderful gift I've been given and I am delighted to be able to share it with you.The Babies on my website have all been adopted by wonderful mommies around the world. I will be adding new babies regularly so come back to see new faces. If you are interested in adopting a baby I do accept commission and custom orders.
My babies can be adopted from various doll collector shops worldwide and occasionally from ebay.
The kits advertised on my website are also available to buy from me.
